What is IQ?

Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is a standardised measure of cognitive abilities assessing logical reasoning, working memory, verbal aptitude, and processing speed. IQ is normed on a bell curve with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15 — approximately 68% of the population scores between 85 and 115. IQ is not a fixed or complete measure of intelligence — it captures specific cognitive dimensions but does not reflect creativity, emotional intelligence, or practical talents.

How the score is calculated

Our test measures 4 cognitive dimensions: visuo-spatial reasoning (Raven progressive matrices), verbal aptitude (analogies and vocabulary), numerical reasoning (logical sequences and mental arithmetic), and spatial reasoning (3D mental rotation). Scores are normed against standardised population data, with age factored in to reflect appropriate developmental norms.

What this test can (and cannot) measure

This test is a standardised cognitive assessment tool, not a certified clinical test such as the WAIS-IV.
