The ACE questionnaire is a 10-question screening tool measuring exposure to traumatic events during childhood (before age 18), including abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction. Developed by Felitti and colleagues at Kaiser Permanente and the CDC, it is one of the most widely used instruments for assessing the long-term impact of childhood adversity on adult health and wellbeing.
