📋 What to expect
What is a chronotype?
Your chronotype is your natural tendency to be more of a morning person (lark) or an evening person (owl). It stems from your internal body clock, partly genetic, and determines when you are most alert, when you feel hungry and when you get sleepy. Most people sit somewhere between the two extremes.
Chronotype, ADHD and sleep
Many people with ADHD have an evening-shifted chronotype, with late sleep onset and tough mornings. Living against your internal clock (waking early when you are an owl) builds chronic sleep debt that worsens focus, mood and impulsivity. Knowing your chronotype helps you organize your days more wisely.
